*Fixed* WordPress – Help!

Fixed the problem now, may still tweak the site again later but for the moment I’m happy.

Just a quick post to ask if anyone knew how to remove the words from the header of your blog in WordPress?

*points above* Trying to change it so that all you see is the banner, but it’s not cooperating. :)

Thanks!

    Heather,

    Wow, great new look! :)

I’m not exactly sure I understand what you’re wanting to do about the header though. I see the banner and all and if you need some basic help with WordPress just ask… I don’t know much but if I can help I’m more than happy to do so.

    Lovin’ The New Look! :)

    • Thanks Eric! :)

As I said, I think I managed to fix it for now lol. The other theme I tried briefly did lots of horrible things to my header, but thankfully this one (Atahualpa) managed to fix it. :) I’ll keep your offer in mind though!

(You do realise that you’ll now get bugged about WP at odd moments throughout the next few months yea? :P )

    It’s looking really good, Heather.

I would highlight your RSS button so that people will be able to see it and subscribe.

I don’t know the theme, but I’ve managed to customize my site using CSS a lot, if you need help.

    Keep learning :-)

    Heather,

I’m glad you have things working in better order now. :)

I appreciate you keeping my offer in mind and do realise that now you’ll have no problem coming to me for help with WordPress here and there. That’s really no problem. I know what I do and if I can help you I’m more than happy to do what I can. If I don’t know then we’ll figure it out together and both learn something new! :)

    You take care! :)

    Heather,

After reading Karen’s comment here I just wanted to start by seeing if I can actually help you a bit.

To change your CSS on the RSS stuff is pretty simple actually.

    1. Login to your WordPress Admin area
    2. Head over to the editor under Theme
    3. Look for the stylesheet.

If I’m correct, you’re where you need to be. If you learn some basic CSS (isn’t hard at all – at least the basics) you can pretty much fool around in here (backup everything just in case, you never know) and get things figured out.

Last but not least I’d by far recommend the WordPress.org/support forums. They’re very responsive and helpful. My blog went down about a week ago and I had no clue why. They helped me get it back up in seconds.

Sharing the tip one tip at a time! :)

    Hope this helps some how.

    Hi Heather,
If you can find the time, you might like to check out W3 Schools. I think you8 can learn almost anything concerning programming there, including CSS. And best of all, it’s free. It’s an amazing resource.
