The 3D Student is a Month Old! Time for a Roundup...

That’s right, as of yesterday I’ve been posting on this blog for a month.  I know there’s a lot of sites around that post their stats at this point and talk about what they’ve learned and so on (maybe I’ll come back to that later) but I’m going to have a roundup of a different sort.

Since I started studying 3D and learning about Freelancing etc I’ve collected a whole load of links and resources.  Here are some of my favourite ones that I still use; some of which are fairly new to me, others I’ve been using for well over a year.  Check them out, join a couple of the forums, talk to some people – I hope you find it as useful as I have.

3D and Art Forums

Whether it’s for the challenges associated, a sense of community, or simply facilitating your voyeurism with regards to other artists’ work forums are amazing tools.  Join one, you won’t regret it.

Tutorial Sites

Tutorials are the true lifeblood of your 3D course / study.  Read/implement as many of these as you can, as often as you can, and you’ll see a marked improvement in your work.  Push the envelope!

Entertainment/Inspiration

Some lighter resources here that’ll either transport you away from your frustrations and stresses, or give you that push you need to go ahead and blow past them.

Have a great weekend everyone – Back tomorrow with my plans for the blog (I know some of you are curious!), so look out for that!

If you haven’t already you can subscribe to my blog by RSS or by email; best way to keep updated.
