Business Ideas Book
You see that awkward looking person in the top right corner (purple tshirt)? That’s me.
I’m part of an experiment, in which a hundred or so bloggers were contacted and asked to take part in one small book. The idea was to place our very best ideas in a simple, clear format, for anyone to pick up and have a go. You could submit as much or as little as you wanted, and there was less than a week to really think about it. Ian and Amy Anderson (really nice people) are the brave people that tested this technique.
I was one of the crazy 12 that made it possible.
The end result is that now we have a product, three options to buy, and the inevitable sales page to negotiate.
You’re all smart people so I’m going to cut to the chase. If you’ve been around online for over 6 months blogging (or creating products, or webcomics, etc) then you’re going to find less in here than a completely green person.
The question we’re aiming to answer is: “I want to start an Internet Business but I don’t know what to do or how to begin?”
Now that that’s out of the way…
The book contains more than 35 ideas, each one summarised, planned (complete with marketing ideas), and with a rough rundown of the numbers involved (costs, what you can expect to earn, etc). In short, it takes out some of the legwork for starting up.
- You won’t need to agonise over what sort of URL you need; there are examples.
- Marketing not your thing? No worries, we’ve covered that too.
- No extra skills whatsoever (or none you care to use)? There’s at least one idea in there that you could follow. I wrote it.
- College student with limited time? Yep.
- College student with massive amounts of time? Yes, I know you exist. There’s stuff in here for you too.
- Already working elsewhere? Not a problem! Some of these ideas won’t take much of your time to start with (much being a relative term) and you could begin on a part time basis.
- Have a family member that always talks about starting a business of their own but never does? Get them this book, and be forever able to call their bluff!
Bonus time
The really cool thing about being a part of the book (aside from getting a copy myself of course) is that I get to offer you a $7 discount on any of our packages. Awesome, no?
Also I get the chance to add to the bundle. Until January 2011 I’ll be offering The 3D Students’ Calendar for free with the printed version of the book. Only want the ebook? You still get the calendar at half price.
Each page of the calendar has a fully textured piece of 3D artwork created just for this release. I’ll be posting sneak peaks closer to the 1st, and you’ll never see these images elsewhere. As much as it may pain me, I won’t even be using it in my portfolio unless as a complete product. (Imagine me wandering into an interview with a calendar. Yeeeaaa…. not likely)
To claim the calendar, email me your order confirmation at shadesofadream@gmail.com and I’ll add you to the release list.
