Dishes? Pfft. Use Lathe to Set the Table
Tutorial
Today I’m going to show you quickly how to use the Lathe modifier in 3D Studio Max. When used with splines you can create all sorts of cylindrical objects; glasses, bottles, plates, bowls, and so on. They won’t be the best modelled objects however its a good way to get a base set up for altering and creating more complex objects.

Very interesting Heather.
I used to operate a lathe in a machine shop. I really enjoyed the process from raw to finished product, seeing it after all the input.
Your making me want to learn this on the puter

Hehe, I’ll convert you to 3D yet. In a couple of weeks I’ll have to switch to using an open source 3D program for my tutorials anyway (or at least most of them) so you might want to join in then.

Blogging like you do is such an art and you obviously have that skill here – I don’t but I did find this that made me smile so maybe I can return the favour by making you smile too?
