Flowers and a Poll – Taste of Things to Come

I’m just going to ask you to quickly watch the video before I start rambling on with my plans; it’ll only take about five minutes.

Flower Texture Workflow Intro from Heather Craik on Vimeo.

The Plan

Find the city of gold.  Take the gold.  Row back to Spa-  Ok, I’ll stop the movie reference.  The real plan is to create the video tutorial and also create an ebook.  After launch you’ll be able to buy the ebook on its own, or with the video.  Here’s a quick recap of what it’ll cover:

  • Concepting textures
  • Research
  • Preparing the model
  • Creating the texture
  • Applying the texture
  • Creating the final render

Important Question of the Day:

Which flower should I model?  Snowdrop, Daisy, or Orchid?  Let me know in the comments below, and remember, final count is next Wednesday!

The orchid looks harder. Not that I will even try to do what you are demonstrating. Do you like vimeo better than youtube?
